Shannon was born in Louisiana and graduated college from Loyola, New Orleans. She moved several times while growing up. The places that influenced her the most are, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, and Southern California. Southern values and Cajun culture, influenced her outlook on life and she attributes many of her best qualities to being raised in the South. All the women in her family are spectacular Cajun cooks. In fact, Crawfish bisque, red beans and rice, and spicy chicken gumbo are still a few of her favorite home cooked meals.

Real estate professionals are common in her family. Her mother and father both worked as real estate agents. Shannon's first job was working as a receptionist in a real estate office in Phoenix, Arizona during her high school summer break.

In her personal life, Shannon has been an active member several fund raising programs to help children's charities. She believes all children deserve an equal opportunity to get a great education and achieve the AAmerican Dream.
